This is a Grade 1 thoroughbred race in the United States. It usually has a large fan turnout with the greatest being in 2004. That year recorded about 120139 people. It takes place at Belmont Park in New York. It began 152 years ago in 1867, and it covers one and a half miles on a dirt surface.
